John Kettley Is A Weatherman

Tasty looking swell due next weekend.

Paddlesurfing Khao Lak

One of the great advantages of a paddleboard is it gives you range. The paddle out to the spot from Khao Lak beach is a 10km round trip, not a huge distance but long enough to require a little planning and the carrying of food and water. Not everyones cup of tea but James was well up for the challenge.

The reef at low tide looking much like a lunar landscape.

A series of fast lefts and a couple of peaks break along the edge of the reef coming straight out of deep water with more size and power than other breaks in the area. Through the clear waters huge rocks and coral heads can be seen lurking just beneath the surface.

Cars And Boards

April saw a few visiting paddlesurfers from Phuket during Song Khran, they were all stoked to be getting waves.

Spring Swells

Small back to back April swells have made for ten consecutive days of surf and counting.

Cape Sunset

Small sunset rights peeling down the cape.
